Knock enriches contact data in real time so you can qualify and route leads without asking them for firmographic details. As soon as Knock identifies the person and/or their company from a conversation started via a Knock Link, enrichment runs instantly. The enriched fields are available to your Routing Rules, scheduling, Slack notifications, and CRM sync. Enrichment is powered by Knock’s built-in AI (no third-party data broker).

What is enriched?

Knock adds the following contact attributes:

Where do I see results in Knock?

  • Slack notifications: Each new lead message and each booked meeting includes enriched contact details in your Slack workspace.
  • Knock Dashboard → Accounts table: Enriched fields appear as columns you can search and filter.
  • Lead profile in the Dashboard: Open a lead from any conversation to view their enriched attributes.
  • Routing Rules and scheduling: Use enriched fields in real time to make routing and booking decisions.
  • CRM sync: Knock updates mapped CRM fields with the latest contact enrichment.

How can I use this data?

  • Route chats and meetings
  • In Routing Rules, create conditions using fields such as Location, Job Title, Attribution Source/Channel, or Knock: Intent Score.

  • Build segments for outreach
  • In the Accounts view, create Segments that group leads by role, region, or intent and hand them to reps for targeted follow-up.

  • Give reps context in Slack
  • Reps see who they’re talking to (name, title, LinkedIn) and what brought them in (source, page visits), so they can reply fast and personally.

  • Sync to your CRM
  • Map Knock fields to your CRM’s Contact fields for reporting, workflows, and dashboards.

Limitations and requirements

  • Included scope: Enrichment is included for all leads who connect through Knock.
  • Forms: Enrichment for form fillers who did not come through a Knock Link is available at additional cost.
  • Coverage: Not all contacts have public LinkedIn or role data; some attributes may be blank for certain individuals or markets.
  • CRM defaults: By default, Knock syncs accepted leads and adds named Knock fields such as Knock: Intent Score and Knock: Responding Rep. Admins control object mapping and field-level sync.

How do I map Contact Enrichment to my CRM fields?

Salesforce mapping (Contact)

  1. Open the Knock Dashboard.
  2. Go to SettingsIntegrationsSalesforce.
  3. Open the Sync Knock data into Salesforce tab.
  4. Under Object, select Contact.
  5. In Field Mapping, map Knock fields (e.g., Knock: Intent Score, LinkedIn URL, Job Title) to your Salesforce Contact fields (custom or standard).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Test with a recent Knock lead. Open the related Salesforce Contact and confirm the mapped fields are populated.

HubSpot mapping (Contact)

  1. Open the Knock Dashboard.
  2. Go to SettingsIntegrationsHubSpot.
  3. Open the Sync Knock data into HubSpot tab.
  4. Under Object, select Contact.
  5. In **Field Mapping`, map Knock fields to HubSpot Contact properties (custom or standard).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Verify on a HubSpot Contact record that properties are populated after a new Knock conversation or meeting.

FAQ

Does Knock enrich a contact without an email?

Yes. Knock uses conversation context and identified company/person signals. Email can improve match quality but isn’t required.

How fast is enrichment?

Instant, available during the same session for routing and scheduling.

Can I map to custom CRM fields?

Yes. Create custom fields/properties in your CRM, then select them in Knock’s Field Mapping.

What’s the difference between Contact and Company Enrichment?

Contact Enrichment covers the person (name, title, LinkedIn, intent, attribution). Company Enrichment covers the account (size, industry, HQ, revenue).
