Automated LinkedIn Outreach
Automated LinkedIn outreach sends a personalized LinkedIn message to a lead after the lead interacts with a Knock AI meeting link. The message is sent from the routed rep's connected LinkedIn account, so the lead hears directly from the rep they are meeting or were routed to. Knock AI sends outreach in two situations: after a lead books a meeting, and when a lead is qualified but does not book.
Why automated outreach matters
Engagement matters most right after a lead shows interest. Automated outreach reaches every qualified lead the moment they interact with a meeting link, while their interest is still high, so the lead stays in a real conversation with the rep.
That engagement keeps leads warm and drives two main outcomes:
- Fewer no-shows for booked meetings. A personalized message from the rep keeps the lead engaged between booking and the call and surfaces what they want to cover, so the meeting stays top of mind and is more likely to happen.
- Re-engagement for leads who did not book. A qualified lead who leaves without booking is still interested. Outreach brings them back and suggests to choose a time before their interest fades.
What it is used for
- Confirm booked meetings. Knock AI confirms the meeting and asks what the lead wants to cover, giving the rep agenda context before the call.
- Recover qualified leads who did not book. Knock AI follows up to invite the lead to choose a time, so interested leads are re-engaged instead of going cold.
- Keep follow-up consistent. Outreach is triggered the same way for every qualified lead, so it never depends on a rep remembering to send it.
Before you start
Automated LinkedIn outreach requires each routed rep to connect their LinkedIn account in Knock AI. Outreach is sent from the rep's own account, so it can only be sent for reps who have connected. To enable it for your team:
- Connect the LinkedIn account of every rep who can be routed. See Connect your LinkedIn account.
- Configure routing roles on each meeting link, so leads can be qualified and routed.
If a routed rep has not connected their LinkedIn account, Knock AI cannot send outreach on their behalf.
How automated outreach works
- A lead submits their email address on a Knock AI meeting link.
- Knock AI evaluates and qualifies the lead by the routing roles attached to the link.
- Knock AI routes the lead to the matching rep.
- Knock AI sends the outreach message from that rep's connected LinkedIn account.
- When the lead replies, Knock AI creates a Knock Knock update in Slack with the lead's information and the chat with the rep.
Outreach is sent only after a lead is qualified. Leads that do not qualify receive no message.
When outreach is sent
After a meeting is booked
Knock AI sends a confirmation-style message that references the scheduled meeting and invites the lead to share topics for the call.
Hey Chen, I saw you booked a meeting with me on Friday, April 10 at 9:00 AM about Knock AI. Anything you'd like to make sure we cover during the call?
Personalized with the lead's first name, the meeting day, date, and time, and the meeting topic or team.
When a lead is qualified but does not book
Knock AI sends a follow-up message that invites the lead to choose a time to connect.
Hey Eldad, I saw you were looking at times to connect about Knock AI. What time works best for you?
Personalized with the lead's first name and the topic or company the lead engaged with.
When a lead replies
When the lead answers the rep's message, Knock AI creates a Knock Knock update with the lead's information and the chat, so the rep has full context before continuing the conversation, and can answer directly from Slack. This applies to replies for both outreach types.
