Booking Logic Options for Scheduling Meetings with Knock

Knock makes it easy to assign leads to the right calendar when booking meetings. Whether you have one rep or a full sales team, Knock gives you flexible booking logic to control who appears available to each lead—and how meetings get scheduled.

These options help optimize conversion, balance workload, and improve meeting attendance.

What Is Booking Logic in Knock?

Booking logic determines how Knock selects and displays rep calendars when a qualified lead clicks your scheduling link. You can set this per routing rule based on lead criteria, so high-intent leads are always matched with the right rep or team.

Booking Logic Options

1. Single Rep Assignment

If you assign just one rep to a lead segment:

  • Leads will only see that rep’s calendar.
  • Time slots are shown based on their availability.
  • Ideal for territory ownership or dedicated rep follow-up.

Best for: Named accounts, ABM, or 1:1 ownership.

If you assign more than one rep to a lead segment, you can choose from the following booking logic options:

2. Any Calendar (Pooled Availability)

Let Knock show time slots from any rep in the group:

  • Leads see more scheduling options.
  • Knock books the meeting on the calendar of the rep the lead selects.
  • Helps reduce friction and increase booking rates.

Best for: Inbound leads and speed-to-meeting.

3. Round-Robin (One Calendar per Lead)

Assign multiple reps and let Knock auto-select one calendar:

  • Knock picks the rep with the fewest upcoming meetings.
  • Only one rep’s availability is shown per lead.

Best for: Fair distribution and workload balancing.

4. All Calendars Must Be Free (Group Booking)

Require that all selected reps are available before showing a slot:

  • Knock only displays time slots where every rep in the group is free.
  • All selected reps are added to the invite.

Best for: Technical demos, multi-stakeholder calls, onboarding.

🛠 How to Set Booking Logic in Knock

  1. Go to Meeting Routing in your Knock dashboard.
  2. Create or edit a routing rule based on lead or CRM data (e.g., industry, region, company size).
  3. Assign one or more reps.
  4. Select your preferred Booking Logic:
    • Single calendar
    • Any calendar
    • Round-robin
    • All calendars available

You can set different logic per segment.

Calendar Connection Tip

You can assign reps to routing rules before they’ve connected their calendar. Knock will skip reps who aren’t yet connected and activate the rule once they are. This lets you set up routing logic early and keep your setup clean.
